We did roll out this software for a client's website:

You could maybe do something like it on the PTA site since it's wordpress. But it did take a lot of work for us to integrate it with paypal, etc. for member dues.

Also something to maybe consider is a site like this:

https://paysimple.com

There's others out there of course.
