[Sagamore Online] FW: sagamore.online Digest, Vol 12, Issue 1

Ha! Yeah, it does look pretty old school, thanks for showing me. I
don't know anyone else using the digest feature of the email list (most
people just see regular individual forwarded email messages), so
changing the digest presentation is a low priority for me. I chose this
particular email list software (mailman <http://list.org/> (how's that
for an old looking website? ;) ) because its a backbone of open source
software development (tried and true), and I can easily run it myself.

Remember, these discussion lists are my own personal effort, and not
supported or advertised by the PTA. At the time I suggested
collaborating over public email discussion lists, the PTA was not
interested. So, I went on to experiment on my own—to see if it's
useful, to see if others agree, and to see if it might convince the PTA
of its value over time. Should the PTA decide to support discussion
lists, I would suggest they use a different back end, which would
probably have far superior polish. I've always suggested Google Groups,
branded Sagamore Hills PTA through our existing Google Apps account.
