<p>That content is awesome—thanks so much for sharing. And you know
how I'd like this information to someday find a greater audience,
so…<br>
</p>
<p>I added your two bits of content to <a
href="http://list.9.0ne.org/archive/sagamore.online/2013-October/000108.html">a
site we're playing with</a>. This isn't really usable now, just
an experiment in how information might flow through the school in
the future.<br>

<p>You can edit them too! Just use the "Sign in" link at the
bottom.<br>

<p>I'm thinking I'd like to try an idea that there's a page for
every topic of interest, and that page first serves as a basic
about page, but also contains timely information, as well as links
to the kind of information volunteers need to make the event
happen.<br>

<div> Hello everyone, </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div> Here are two important things going on that need 100% parent
participation. Thank you. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div> 1 -- INTERNATIONAL NIGHT </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div> is next Thursday, Oct. 17th from 5:30-7:30pm. Please sign up
for something! Here is the Sign-Up List: <a

</a> </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div> It is one of the best nights of the school year! It's really
fun, educational and will fill your tummies (and your families'
tummies!) with delicious foods from all over the world. </div>
<div> This year all first grade classes will be Switzerland.
International Night is for the whole family and goes from
5:30-7:30pm, but you can show up when you like (stay for 30 min
or an hour). Head to the gym first, where all countries will be
stamping "passports." Then move on to the cafeteria to try foods
from many different countries. Totally free. No tickets to buy.
It's all food brought in by Sagamore Hills parents. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div> So please click on the sign-up list (above in blue) for the
Switzerland foods/items that we'll need for our Switzerland
table. Buy a food, make a dish or send in cash (in envelope to
Lara Baldwin). If you have any problems signing up, please email
me, and I'll sign you up. Thanks. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div> Thanks to all of you who have sent in your $10 t-shirt
money. Almost everyone has paid; we just need a few more! Every
child will be getting a t-shirt, so please send in your </div>
<div> $10 cash or check written to Lara Baldwin for Switzerland
t-shirts. Put your payment in an envelope with my name on it,
and have your child give it to Ms. Menendez. </div>
<div> We'll be sending the t-shirts home with every first grader
next week along with a reminder to have him/her wear it to
school Thursday, Oct. 17th! </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div> 2 -- "FIRST IN MATH" online program </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div> has begun! Have your child play at home! Here is the link: </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div> <a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="http://www.firstinmath.com">www.firstinmath.com</a> </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div> A lot of your kids are already playing and earning lots of
online "stickers!" * Did you know it's a friendly competition?
Fun online math games that help your child master fundamental
(and advanced) math skills. Your child is playing the math games
at school but is encouraged to play the games at home too!
Students are doing this in class some days, but the more they
play, the better. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div> <b>*</b> Their scores are available for Ms. Menendez to
check online. Every day she rewards the student with the highest
amount of online stickers. That student gets to wear a special
First In Math necklace for the day. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div> In case none of this is sounding familiar, last Thursday in
your child's folder, you received information about this with a
card stapled to the top. That card has your child's login
information. If you can't find it, please email Ms. Menenedez to
get it. <a moz-do-not-send="true"
