[Danhi] Sign Up for Danhi Kindergarten Class Volunteer Opportunities

Dear Danhi Parents,
 
Being that Sagamore is a public community-based school, its success is greatly 
enhanced by volunteer parents of the children that attend it. In an effort to 
support our children at Sagamore and give them a well-rounded strong start with 
their education, volunteer parents from the class have created a class website 
and a Bring It Volunteer Sign Up list that has been coordinated with Ms. Danhi. 
The other kindergarten classes have already done very similar things and these 
tools will help Ms. Danhi and our room parent coordinate volunteers in the class 
and can allow for greater parent involvement. 

 
You can read about the different volunteer opportunities on the new website 
recently created by one of our volunteer parents. Opportunities are separated by 
type and include short descriptions for each of them along with the time 
commitment involved. Some of the activities are date/time specific and others 
are not, allowing you to schedule it based on what may work best for you. Each 
opportunity is no longer than 1 hour. Opportunities have been added beginning 
next week through the holidays. We can all add opportunities to the Bring It 
Sign Up list at any time and will continue to do so throughout the year via 
other volunteers and room parents. Your ideas are always welcome as this is a 
class-owned effort and we want your involvement.
 
All class parents are encouraged to add to the website so it can serve as a 
helpful resource for all of us. It can be a great tool to share teaching and 
learning aids, technology-based learning recommendations (apps and web-based 
material), homework assignments, announcements, fun events for the class, etc. 
The web site is easy to use and we really encourage you all to have a look if 
you have not already done so.
 
Please take a few minutes to review the Bring It Volunteer opportunities and 
sign up for at least one (although we encourage you to sign up for more than 
one). These volunteer events take only a small time commitment from us and can 
add tremendous value to what our children will gain from their first year at 
Sagamore. Ms. Danhi needs our help and the kids love to have us there! 

 
Let us know if you run into any confusion with the website or the Bring It Sign 
Up List/Volunteer Opportunities. Several of us volunteer parents are putting 
personal and work time into this and need your help to make sure it works, as 
well as commitment to help move us forward.
