[Sagamore Online] Google Drive (Online Storage/Collaboration)

David, are you using the Google Drive web interface, or the Google Drive
client (for Windows or OS X)?

When I renamed a file owned by admin
<https://docs.google.com/a/sagamorehillspta.org/file/d/0B9psgK8S9NgjNTF0QTVRenkwQkU/edit?usp=sharing>
using on the web interface, the filename changed and ownership remained
with admin. I did not see the ownership change upon renaming that you did.

On, "uploaded it back again as if I had made some changes to it", yeah
that's a bit tricky, but it's something we'll need to properly train. I
added a section on the Google Drive notes
<http://www.9.0ne.org/w/Sagamore_Google_Drive#Saving_changes> explaining.

When you want to save /a new version of a document already in
Drive/, do *not* upload the document again. Instead, go to the
document already in Drive that you'd like to update and choose
*Manage revisions…*, then *Upload new revision*.

With files able to show up in different folders, and everyone able
organize files in their own unique views, Drive can't assume that just
because a file has the same name as another, it is meant as a
replacement. The way to do that is through "Manage revisions…".

If files are changed through the Drive client on your computer, e.g. you
open Word, tell Word to open a file located in your Google Drive, then
save changes, Google Drive will take care of syncing the change back to
the cloud as a new revision of the file you opened (instead of a new
file as you experienced when you used "Upload" in the Drive web
interface). If you make changes to a file using Google's online tools
(Documents, Spreadsheets, Drawing, etc.), those changes will also be
saved as new revisions (as you'd expect).

Since the item you deleted was owned by admin, it was only removed from
the folder it was in, it was not deleted. Admin is still able to access
(and return) the file. I'm guessing it may be in your Trash folder too.

Thanks for your feedback. This is pretty new to me too and I'm sure
everyone appreciates us figuring out the details.
