My 2 cents is to keep it on wordpress but update the theme so it looks good and is user-friendly. I can do that and others can as well. 

The google sites are just not used properly by tech-unsavvy people (in my opinion) and if we want buy-in and contributors to this ongoing project, we should use the easiest tool for the masses to grasp. Which again, in my opinion, is wordpress. 

But this is talking about tactical steps when from my perspective we should do the following in this order:

1. What would be great is to have a clearly-stated goal of communications at Sagamore (I don't know what this is at this point.)

1a. Here's a shot: The goal of the PTA website is to be the repository of information (FAQ) for new families joining the Sagamore Hills Elementary community, and the go-to place for ongoing news about school and PTA initiatives.

2. Once we agree upon the goal as a community, we should then talk about the strategic approach to reaching the stated goal, decide on tactics (like wordpress or whateverpress or google sites or tbd), and only then execute.

3. Can we discuss over this list what a feasible goal would be, simply stated, so that we get on the same page about that first?

4. I'm committed to being involved for at least the next 5 years unless I get run over by a bus or start John's pressure-washing and lawn-service business.

5. Then we party. That's where Jon Baldwin comes in.

Given the talents of the people on this list and in the Sagamore Hills community that I personally know, there should be no excuse for us not to have the most bad ass site of any elementary school in the Atlanta area. And that includes private schools.
