So, we would lean toward an address under our own domain?  And something
wordier but more meaningful (eg /directory/secretfor2014) over something
shorter but obtuse (/d/abc)?

We can include an advertising banner and/or footer or something in
whatever electronic form the directory takes too, if that can count for
exposure.
